Read http://people.debian.org/~cpbotha/READ.THIS and install the UNOFFICIAL potato versions of the 4.0.2 debs. Then go to www.nvidia.com and go to their linux driver section. Read the FAQ 3 times. Attempt the NVIDIA driver installation. Read the FAQ 5 more times. Repeat until your X works.
