Yes, modulo two things: I didn't pass --no-built-binaries (it
doesn't seem to be relevant, but for the sake of completeness…)
and that I'm running qemu-user to emulate armhf on top of amd64.
The latter may be much more relevant regarding the observed
differences between us.

I believe Paul has real hardware for the CI result though, and
maybe if you compare CPU models, there may be a relevant change
that might help pinpoint some failure condition?

Just in case I see something unexpected, I scheduled another
autopkgtest on my environment, but I believe I will run again
into the failure to connect to the display.  I'll let you know
if that is otherwise.
