1. Some kvirc windows that are constantly updating would black out (sometimes as long as 1-2 seconds) before an update is made. Without firmware-linux-nonfree such effect is not observed. 2. Though I was able to log out without hanging with firmware-linux-nonfree installed, the last screen was "garbled", with parts of the picture severely distorted.
