I can't reproduce this, and I use a UTF-8 environment. /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/locale/common is where XFree86 4.2.1 puts the Xlib locale modules. /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/locale/lib/common is where XFree86 4.3.0 puts the Xlib locale modules. -- G.
