I'm not positive this is a bug: 1) Do you have "pex5" listed in the "Modules" Section of your XF86Config-4? 2) Does the above cause the server to crash? It wouldn't make sense for me to have xserver-xfree86 conflict with the xext package, because some people might still want that package installed, to use with the still-available XFree86 3.x servers. -- G.
