Hmm, I don't think I reviewed the release notes for 4.0.3, so I guess
they are wrong... (At least I'm not aware of a fix for your troubles,
although if I recall there were some changes to the MX support in
versions prior to 4.0.3. That's probably what got into the release
notes.)

Yes, I've been meaning to put some more time into this, but haven't
yet. I need to backdate a few of the MX changes and see if they work
for you. (Because I've had a few reports of the MX working on other
Debian setups, and am not sure why it works for some and not others.)
No promise as to when I'll get to it...
