Here we (debian-i18n / debian-www) can help. The previous secretary
showed dis-interest in this issue, but if this is different for you, I
would be happy if these two teams can get involved to find the best
solution.

There it starts exactly. The recent years, each vote consisted of
several files with well defined input. Since the official i18n support
was not used, I created a special script which does most of the
translation automatically. Now all files beside vote_001.wml are
missing, at least initially. Before I start updating my script I want
to explore the new path; ideally my script would be unnecessary if
i18n support for the web page is used.

This is a very good start, this was different previously.

Here I'm off. Is devotee available somewhere (in some RCS or Debian
package)? Then we could work on patches.
For the further course of action I suggest involving debian-www (or
debian-i18n if you have questions in this regard). If you like I can
initiate a mail to debian-www (but probably not before early next
week). Or you can start a discussion there, fine with me as well.
