Guten Tag Alfie! The US Postal Service (USPS) does allow for package tracking, I think this is a red herring thrown out by Tux to cover their mistakes.
Of course, you have to ask for it and it does require extra book keeping on your part, but they do allow for package tracking. Britt D. That's nice, and I understand that. On the other hand it doesn't seem to have been the first time that this happend. Maybe you should reconsider your cooperation with USPS if they are in some respect unrelyable and (what's IMHO even worse) untraceable. Maybe it's worth thinking about that.
