Hi Tux Cd's, Okay, I am happy that I get my $26 or so dollars back, but why did you not reply to any of my emails?
Of course after the first no reply passed, they were of an angry nature, but had you simply replied I would have been much less angry. Another idea might be to state this 'policy' of yours on your website along with shipping info, in such a place that people can read it prior to paying. Britt D. Burton... P.S. Thanks Richard Atterer! -----Original Message----- From: Tux CDs [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, September 25, 2002 2:11 PM To: Burton Britt D DLVA; 'Richard Atterer' Cc: debian-www@lists.debian.org; debian-cd@lists.debian.org Subject: Re: Tux CDs unreliable Dear Mr. Burton & Mr. Atterer, Our records indicate that this order was processed. It should have been received. It was ordered with USPS First Class Mail, and is therefor untracable. Our policy indicates we are not responsible for lost/stolen mail. However, in this case we are making an exception. Mr. Burton's credit card was issued a refund for the full amount yesterday. It is our goal to make our customers happy. We have hundreds of very satisfied customers. Orders that we receive will ship same day if received before 1:00PM CST (M-F). We stand behind our quality products and fast shipping. If you do not receive your order fast, it's free. In effect today, if your order is not shipped same day, it is free. (Please see our web site for details) If anyone has any other concerns, please let me know. Or is it fraud? Offering an item for sale, receiving cash for the item, then not shipping the item and keeping the cash. I call it thievery, though I am betting it contains fraud as well. Britt D. What is your comment on the problems that people have ordering Debian CDs from you? Note that we may have to remove you from our vendors list if you continue to be unreliable. Sorry, [EMAIL PROTECTED] would be the correct place to complain. I'll update the website to mention this. > I ordered two copies of debian (M68K and PPC) from TuxCDs back in > July, have emailed em and emailed em (no other means of contact > available) and to date have not received my cd's... oh, but they did > happily charge my credit card.
