Here is the email that requested I place 1999 events at the top of the event page. As to the past events part, that would require some alterations to the index code. If there are no screams and/or death threats I'll make those alterations too.

Ignoring past events for a second, the next event (the nearest in the future) probably should be first, at the top of the list. (That is, all (future) events should be listed in chronological order.) To handle past events, I guess I'd leave them at the bottom of the page. ---------------------------------------
