If people are really going to disregard a whole distribution because of one package which annoys a few people, then so be it. That's their choice. > Debian cannot be the way to distribute such things. Why not? It's a pretty bold assertion to hang out in the breeze. Also of interest is: what things? > There is already enough to worry about in Debian, I think. You're making the assumption that every male on the planet is keenly interested in observing cartoons of a, quite frankly, unrealistic depiction of the female form. Can no male be offended by these pictures? Way to stereotype. And what about those women out there who don't actually care about one package in the distribution with such images? > It is not a case of prudery but a case of respect. Like following the mailing list code of conduct and not Ccing people unless they request it? Back to the topic: it's not a matter of respect -- it if was, we'd be respecting other people's beliefs as well, instead of screaming at anyone in favour of these images in Debian. In reality, it's about Political Correctness: "Being Politically Correct is bending over backwards to avoid offending people who are buisy [sic] manipulating you by being creatively thin skinned." - Matt
