I think you can change install.cmake so that

  SET(LIBDIR "lib[64]")

becomes

  SET(LIBDIR "lib[64]/cuneiform")

CMake sets rpath automatically in the executable so that the correct
libraries are used. As far as I understand, hiding private libraries 
like this is a valid use of rpath in Debian.
