The program takes Texinfo files (not info ones) and produces a set of HTML files. The quality of the output is close to the printed output and is much better than an info->HTML gateway. Compared to the output of `makeinfo --html', texi2html's output is more customizable and (subjectively) produces better output by default. Sadly, come next week, I will not be able to give it the care it may need in future, it'd be better if QA manage this package for now and someone else pick it up. I wouldn't really recommend a new maintainer picking this package up, although in the state it was in (with license issues etc there were problems so I guess, if you've got the guts you'll be able to manage it. Upstream are nice, and speedy normally so no problems there. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12.3 Locale: LANG=en_NZ, LC_CTYPE=en_NZ (charmap=ISO-8859-1) --------------------------------------- Received: (at 327441-close) by bugs.debian.org; 21 Sep 2005 22:48:37 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Sep 21 15:48:37 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from katie by spohr.debian.org with local (Exim 3.36 1 (Debian)) id 1EIDMr-0001t7-00; Wed, 21 Sep 2005 15:47:09 -0700 From: Florian Ernst <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.56 $ Subject: Bug#327441: fixed in texi2html 1.76-3 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Wed, 21 Sep 2005 15:47:09 -0700 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 Source: texi2html Source-Version: 1.76-3 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of texi2html, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: texi2html_1.76-3.diff.gz to pool/main/t/texi2html/texi2html_1.76-3.diff.gz texi2html_1.76-3.dsc to pool/main/t/texi2html/texi2html_1.76-3.dsc texi2html_1.76-3_all.deb to pool/main/t/texi2html/texi2html_1.76-3_all.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
