I looked at it, and searched on the pingus mailing-lists. I only found a reference to clanlib possibly compiled with no good big endian support. A patch for clanlib is available on the pingus site. This is not confirmed however, so I'll look further on this. The best should be to try with a alternative clanlib package compiled with the patch, but I do not have a powerpc at hand.
