If anyone cares, I'll confirm andrew's opinion on this; RT3 is sufficiently different that trying to automatically upgrade RT2 is likely to fail (or at least be incomplete) in all but the most trivial cases. It's not *hard*, but it needs some site-specific hand-holding, and it needs *time* if the database is at all large. I think it's completely in-appropriate for a standard preinst/postinst upgrade.
