Well, I mentioned it so that he was aware of another similar tool that is already available. It's not a duplicate since it's not the same software. But that said I don't see the point of having each distribution reinvent its own doc tools just for the sake of it... so it's better if one of them ends up as a winner and is very well maintained. But that's just my opinion and should not forbid anyone from packaging daps if they believe that it does a better job for them.
