* Package name : gravit Version : 0.5.1 Upstream Author : Gerald Kaszuba <gra...@slowchop.com> * URL : http://gravit.slowchop.com/ * License : GPL2 Programming Lang: C Description : visually stunning gravity simulator Gravit is a free, visually stunning gravity simulator, where you can spend endless time experimenting with various configurations of simulated universes. Features: - Stunning visualisations - Create unlimited variations of simulations - You can view the simulation in 3D without glasses using stereoscopic imaging - Can be installed as a screen saver in Windows - You can record, then play back at any speed - Stores every particle's position for every frame in memory - Compresses history when needed, for very long recordings - Mouse controllable rotation - Console with script execution - Colours can be based on mass, velocity, acceleration, momentum or kinetic energy - Save and Load simulations - Update display/input while recording a frame The package provides also gravit-data binary package which contains data files. The package is an interesting simulator which may prove interesting for people learning about gravity. It uses Lua to describe positions of masses and so is not limited to builtin list of simulation scenarios. I already maintain stellarium and I find gravit as nice addition to Debian repository of packages. The package can be maintained by me only (it's a rather easy one). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
