thanks - this is very useful. in my local tests, i see that the upstream tarball is generated by git-buildpackage, but this is part of the whole build process and i couldn't find out how to just generate the upstream tarball. i had a look at some of your packages but couldn't find one with an example of tag-based upstream generation via task in debian/rules: could you point me to one i can use as an example? thanks, andrea -- andrea rota Xelera - IT infrastructures http://xelera.eu/contact-us/
