Hi Thomas, I hope you haven't lost interested in packaging ownCloud for Debian. I'm sorry you had to wait this long; these things can unfortunately take some time, so it seems. I am interested in having this package in Debian (although I am just trying out ownCloud yet) and thus have reviewed the package and have the following comments:
* The debian/watch file is not working and needs an update. * I would add debian/source/local-options containing "unapply-patches" for convenience. See also: https://raphaelhertzog.com/2010/11/18/4-tips-to-maintain-a-3-0-quilt-debian-source-package-in-a-vcs/ * I see that some 3rd-party stuff is installed; should Sabre not be separately packages and is MDB2 not already in Debian? I have not checked the copyright very thorougly yet, so that is still to-do for me. Additionally, the package should probably be updated to the latest upstream version (3.0.2 I believe). Otherwise the package looks very nice and clean. I will play a bit with it now.
