Wouldn't that require something like versioned installation
directories? In this case, that seems to me to be more trouble than
it's worth.

Well I don't know if "ready" is the right word, considering how many
issues Raphael found in the version of the package he's looked at so far
<g>. Still, I've been making progress on it since then and will
continue to work on it as necessary.
