Dear Debiam Team, I am a Brazilian student, who is living and studying in Germany. My drive does not work, I am very desperate. Please tell me if you can help me and if yes, how much should I pay. My friend, who is a IT-Teacher has been able to determine that the disk has suffered from an electro magnetic breakdown resulting in a failure of the circuit board. He said, that in order for him(or better a specialized company, because he?s not in Germany anymore) to start with a possible recovery he would need to replace the faulty component, which in this case is the controller card, with an identical replica. As the boards contain information unique to the disk they originate from, he might would need to re-programme the EEPROM chip for compatibility. Unfortunately, I have as of yet been unable to source one of these drives here in Germany. Do you have this part for sale, or do you know any supplier of it?
The details of the disk are as follows: Model: Quantum SE32A011 Rev: 01-B I also must know if you are able to find an identical disk of this model. At the rear of the disk below the circuit board should be the following numbers: ASEI OC5O The operating system inside was windows 95 (size 4 GB). Please reply by email asap.
