I at least have never heard of Windows malware affecting Linux on the
same computer but it's possible of course. Also, as I understand it,
Windows 10 lets you run an unlicensed copy indefinitely with only minor
restrictions so not much point in going with a pirated copy these days.

I use tiger in Debian to check things, it runs other tools like Tripwire
which checks files on system have not been changed. But Tripwire needs
to be installed on a known clean system to be able to start from an
untampered state.

I guess that would help. Windows can't infect Linux if it isn't plugged
in. Or you could encrypt your Linux partitions.
