I think that's a Windows limitation, but as the OP /has/ Windows,
it's true for the OP. It may be even more true for the OP in view
of their intention to try and create their ESP in a logical
partition, rather than a primary one.

But it seems to be all moot now. I'm pretty sure the OP will create
a GPT scheme on their second attempt.
