I guess that would depend on how the device measures it.
With all my mice/kbds, I only see High, Normal and Low.

How long they last depends on many factors, like the real
date of manufacture, temperature of storage/use, and how much
use you've made of them. An ordinary mouse should give you
not much less than the shelf life.

BTW when you take multiple cells out of a device, it's always
worth checking each one individually. They don't necessarily
contain the same charge: usually one goes flat before the others.

I use an old single-cell toothbrush for testing: the speed tells
you the charge that's left. When they merely hum, they're flat.
Battery testers usually don't provide enough load for a realistic
test.

With new or used? I run mice/keyboards/remotes etc on partially
used cells, after use in higher-powered devices.
