Yes, I should have, but I was trying to read other stuff I gleaned from a search for Linux and printers. Sorry about lots of finger-fumbles, but I will do that again to see if it helps. Unfortunately, I did do that earlier with the manually downloaded HPLIP package and it created the mess I'm still trying to fix. I believe it takes some other Debian packages, but we'll see.
