grub-pc is GRUB2 for Legacy PC-BIOS on x86.

Version 1.98, too, is already GRUB2.

According to
  https://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manual/grub/html_node/History.html
the last release of ye olde GRUB was 0.97 in 2005.

Old GRUB had its configuration in a file named menu.lst:

GRUB2 has the root of its configuration empire in grub.cfg:

Have a nice day :)
