Desktop environments that have > not migrated to systemd likely still relies on Xsession. There are very few GNOME users on this mailing list. We do not reflect the typical Debian population very well at all. Most of us are older, more traditional users, who favor plain window managers (fvwm and company) or lighter Desktop Environments. This makes it hard to support certain parts of Debian, and GNOME is definitely on that "hard to support" list.
