I took that to mean that the button triggers an orderly shutdown (otherwise the PC wouldn't get a chance to output a message). I do it all the time with my laptop. Far easier than finding a terminal to enter "shutdown -h now", or ($DEITY forbid!) clicking around with a rodent. Cheers -- t
