It was stalled, but currently it is not[1]. I think that using multiarch is a problem for aptitude. At least on on of my sid instalación I hace to use apt because I have mixed i686 with amd64 packages Regards, [1] news on https://packages.qa.debian.org/a/aptitude.html (thanks to Manuel!!)
