The moral is: look before you hit that 'y' key. Most of this kind of
problem is temporary, and will be sorted out within a few days.

Stable is just what you want for a server, on a workstation it depends
on how fast your preferred applications are evolving. If you only use
mature software, there's no reason not to run stable.
