Nothing in particular. Just "in general." For example say, in the future, a particular version of an app from Stable repo is giving me trouble or I need some feature(s) that's only in a newer version, and I want to search ONLY backports to see if the newer version is there before I go elsewhere. That's all I was thinking. > find packages that have a backports version > > $ aptitude search ~Awheeyzy-backports > > find packages that are installed from backports > > aptitude search ~S~Awheezy-backports~i > > See the aptitude manual for more search patterns. I have very limited experience with aptitude. Have always used apt-get. So, I guess, I've got some studying to do. Thanks for the info.
