And you are talking about your technically experiences. Somebody else
will quote this out of context, when talking about workflows. It even
might fit best to your workflow, but then, what are your needs?

For most of my needs Firefox does provide the best workflow, but
compared with other browsers, ignoring the workflow, Firefox is one of
the most worse browsers I know. But since workflow is most important for
me, it's the most used browser here.

Or they simply ignore different needs, don't compare current versions on
different distros etc..

And as I already pointed out. If they use tricks to become faster, e.g.
if they load the 30 websites that are linked by a website you're
visiting, when your computer should be idle, even if you won't visit
those sites, just in case that you might want to visit one of those
sites, than your neighbour might have a less fast Internet connection,
because you cause traffic for nothing.

"Even if my social network profile does show that I'm online, it doesn't
mean that I'm sitting behind the keyboard" ... there are serious, small,
less known social networks, that automatically log out such idiots.

For sure, being logged in, but doing nothing, doesn't cause much
traffic, but even this does cause minimal traffic. When living in an
area with less good Internet access and many social network idiots, than
no browser will be fast.
