i put the squeeze 2 live disk in to the CD drive on my computer and rebooted.
it booted into debian, and i clicked on the "Debian Installer" icon i saw on the desktop. it gathered the appropriate information and then... it /hung/ while displaying the "Starting the partitioner" window. i left it "Starting the partitioner" over night, to make sure. it was at exactly the same place when i checked it in the morning as it was the night before... i am switching distributions from kubuntu to debian, because i am lead to the understanding that debian is more stable than kubuntu. this experience makes me think twice about that presumption. please tell me where i went wrong and how i can get beyond this. -- namaste salamandir salaman...@spamcop.net - spam at your own risk http://przxqgl.hybridelephant.com/ Professional New Age Renaissance Man -- Life is sometimes like a pizza: round, hot, greasy, and delivered by a guy named 'Tony'.
