'deep scan' mode was a planned but unimplemented addition to rkhunter's
capabilities. From the unpublished manual:

   --deep-scan
One of rkhunter's functions is to search for non-existent
rootkits on a computer system. This option extends the search
to rootkits from parallel universes which penetrate the
           space-time continuum.

The project was discontinued when it was became known that chkrootkit's
proposed --fairies-at-the-bottom-of-the-garden option covered the same
ground and more.
