Thanks. I might like to try this but don't quite know enough. How did you decide which packages to downgrade? All of those that were upgraded on April 12th, or just those relating to xorg? It appears you may have also gone back to udev 166-1. Also, how exactly do you do the downgrade? Do you first run "apt-get remove" and then install the older packages? I'm not sure of the names of the old packages or where you get them (snapshot or backports)? I don't have them in /var/cache/apt/archives.
