NIS is broadcasting the net searching fo a server and to my experience never finds it. To avoid this, manually add the ip address of your nis server to /etc/yp.conf, the line that you have to add is something like: ypserver 10.0.0.1 Xavier -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
