The answer to your question and more, if you are running Squeeze
already, is already on you system.
read /usr/share/doc/hibernate/README.gz

So the question still holds.
Do you actually have the hibernate package installed? A quick check of
the package registry shows that, indeed,
/usr/share/doc/hibernate/README.gz
should be installed if you have hibernate installed. Perhaps a quick
"apt-get install hibernate" would be in order.
