On Camaleón's advice in alternatives I changed my default java to the sun-java6-jre version. In your post you also indicated that that version is the best one to use. I have consequently purged the packages - -- including the chains of packages on which they depended thereby orphaned -- which provided the other two. According to your post I should not really have any trouble for having done so, Regards, Ken -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAksC+nEACgkQlNlJzOkJmTeKbQCeMInjOm75Hg9Z2Ck4EWceukZu cV4An2f95u5z6DP68tovPqJwvvGU5fvC =Relp -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
