Tell us about the thin client? What OS is it running? You can run software on the server but have the display appear on the client using ssh and X forwarding. This is very simple if both boxes are running X and have ssh (i.e. any unix-like OS). I don't know how to do it if the client is running windows, since I haven't run 'doz since 3.1.
