Perplexing Problem: Mail sent from Mutt to debian-user@lists.debian.org
apparently never reaches the list
But
Mail sent from Mutt to my daughter's email address @verizion.net is
transmitted with no problem.
Further Detail: Mutt maintains a file 'sent' adding a copy of each
message as it is sent. The attachment is a copy of a message sent from
mutt to the debian-users list on Saturday, Sept. 6. It apparently never
arrived as it does not appear in the mailing list's archives which were
updated on Sunday, Sept. 7.
My search for the cause of this failure is hindered by cyrus which
floods /var/log/mail.log with messages - sample attached. As yet I have
not figured out how to turn these off but with the aid of grep I have
made a record (attached) of the transmission.
A further confounding factor is a message I have received from the
listmaster reporting that messages from the debian-live users list have
been bounced. I have not been doing any content filtering. I am
checking with my isp to make sure spam filtering is not turned on.
I am sending this message from iceape.

The maintainer(s) issued an update of 2.6.26-1-amd64 Friday which
resolved the problem. Again I ran apt-get dist-upgrade and after the
new kernel was installed there was a message stating initrd.img would
not be updated, the existing links would be used. I rebooted and the
system came up using the 2.6.26-1-amd64 kernel with no difficulty.
Nice job, guys!
