Sounds like this is really something quite specific to your driver. I know that
iwl and ipw3945 emit quite some confusing messages at times, so if your really
want to find out about this, be sure to ask them directly.
http://www.intellinuxwireless.org/ would be a good place to start, I guess. They
have a mailing list that's usually quite helpful, too. Unfortunately I don't
have any experience with the newer Intel wireless card so far, so I can't really
help you all that much, but it looks rather non-critical to me - it's just a
2-second interval, so probably it's the usual procedure (maybe synchronous
withthe WPA-rekeying process?).
