I keep getting log messages Jan 15 09:51:25 cotton NetworkManager: <debug> [1200408685.283130] nm_hal_device_added(): New device added (hal udi is '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/bluetooth_acl_7645d1961'). and the corresponding remove. These show up as "Security Events" in logcheck.
I don't think I've deliberately turned debugging on. Is there a way to turn it off? I'm also not sure exactly where the message is coming from, though the network-manager package seems a good guess (there are libraries as a KDE front end I'm using as well). Second, I also keep seeing stuff like this: Jan 15 09:23:00 cotton kernel: wlan0: CTS protection disabled (BSSID=00:45:4d:80:b6:24) Jan 15 09:23:02 cotton kernel: wlan0: CTS protection enabled (BSSID=00:45:4d:80:b6:24) I think CTS protection is clear to send protection, and seems mostly intended to deal with wireless congestion. Is there some reason it keeps popping on and off? Does it indicate anything is wrong? My wireless card is an Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN Network Connection (rev 61) (AGN, I think) in a Dell Latitude laptop. Thanks.
