Well, as I said it's from what I remember; When I used to use X I updated from within X all of the time without any problems. I'd assume that only certain hardware has problems, perhaps with certain upgrades (Un-X related ones?) -- If programmers deserve to be rewarded for creating innovative programs, by the same token they deserve to be punished if they restrict the use of these programs. - Richard Stallman
