I was going to say that I don't see a problem here, but then I reviewed my partitions. I'm using 300M on my / partition. I have /tmp, /usr, /var and /home all seperate as above. My system has been running this configuration for a couple years now with no problem. So, I think its reasonable that your / partition might be a little bit small, but I think its close, and if you're careful you should be okay.
