Hi,
I've got a Debian mail server, that the networking side of
things has been working fine on for weeks while I've been configuring it. Had it
on 2 different networks fine. Now put it outside the firewall, giving it a
public addess and ethernet card is not available after
boot
using ifup eth0 starts the card, but what runs at startup I
believe is /etc/init.d/networking start, running this manually also takes
the eth0 down
As well as changing the IP address, domain of machine has
changes and I'm wondering if it's that, thats broken it. This was changed in
hosts, resolv.conf, exim.conf and mailman. Putting the machine back on an
internal IP makes no difference
Any suggests on what the problem is?
Many Thanks
