The links that I gave you are pretty outdated: /etc/modules.conf is for 2.4
kernels.

you could adapt the suggested configuration to these files:
/etc/modprobe.d/aliases (general aliases)
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base (alsa config)
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base-blacklist (blacklist of alsa modules (won't be
loaded))
