Martin, I have the same card and finally solved the problems. See my post to the list: Subject: Re: Soundcard issues-RESOLVED Date: Sun, 15 Apr 2007 First, remove sb from /etc/modules. Replace it with snd-es18xx (for this card). Run alsaconf and alsactl.
