I don't use Icedove personally, but I can say from experience that I don't personally like Icedove. I'm not sure on how in-depth the settings get, but when I did use it I found that my lines didn't auto-wrap (Probably a setting I overlooked) and manipulating quotes was a lot harder than it was in Vim. Unless you really love your mouse or graphical user interface, you should probably give Mutt a try.
