If Samba[0] is overkill, than you can get a generic PS printer driver
from Adobe[0] as a free download and use that on your Windows machines
to print to CUPS queues. As suggested, you will still have to
configure CUPS to allow requests from your network and configure your
firewalls to allow CUPS traffic[2].

In a small lab, I use Samba to pass through raw printing using guest
access. In my office, I have an OS 10.4 box, an XP box, and a Debian
box printing directly through a CUPS server. The XP box uses the
Adobe PS driver, working well so far.
