It's difficult to know exactly what that sound would be,
but my guess is that you have a bearing which is going out.
These tend to make periodic squealing, humming, or
rattling noises. Sometimes they make a squeal which changes
in tone or frequency, or which flutters.

If so, then you likely have a fan bearing which is about
to fail or which has failed so that the fan is not turning
fast enough. A condition like that can permanently damage
the CPU or other components, and must be corrected
instanter.
